Not quite a thousand words on the first day. Full disclosure though:
This is an unofficial word count since I took the printed manuscript into work with me today and I hacked away at it during my lunch hour. Apparently I can edit while I eat, despite not being able to write while I eat.
Unofficially, of the 109 pages (Double spaced) that the story took up, I’ve taken the Blistering Editing Pen (trademark forthcoming) to about 48 pages. So halfway through the manuscript in the first day (not counting getting the changes into Scrivener and generating the accurate word count that you’re all dying to see). That’s not bad. If I stay on track I should be able to get through this first pass by the end of the weekend. We’ll see.
