Happy Friday Everyone!!! We Made it!
Gods, it’s been a long week…
I notice that this is starting to become a thing I say here pretty often. I’m not sure what it is, what confluence of life, and day job, etc. is making things so heavy at this time, but there it is.
Worse, I can’t even remember if I got upstairs to write on Saturday. I do remember getting up there on Sunday, so I’m going to figure that I did it on Saturday too.
The thing of it is that it’s been so busy during the week that one day seems to pass right into another without much of a difference from one to the other outside of the number of days until today: Friday.
And, yeah, I could go into planning and how it helps keep you on top of stuff, but sometimes life simply throws so many pins at you that it’s all you can do just to keep them all in the air.
But it’s the start of the Weekend. The day job takes up a hell of a lot of space on my plate and it won’t be there for the next two days. I’ll have a chance to catch up, catch a breath.
What helps me get through the mess is remembering that it wasn’t always this way. Remembering that helps me to realize that it won’t always be this way. Helps me to realize that every slogging step takes me that much closer to the tail-end, and into something new.
So if you’re feeling like that, you’re not alone. I’ve got a shoulder I can lend. Might be that you’ve got one too.

What am I reading this week?
The Chronicles of the Lensmen vol. 1 by E.E. “Doc” Smith. I have this in an omnibus edition. The story that I’m currently reading in this volume is “First Lensman.”
The Black Company, by Glen Cook.
What am I listening to this week? The Ditch Diggers Podcast.
How have I been relaxing and refilling the well? This Weekend? Sleep. Lots of Sleep. Also, honestly, what would let a lot of pressure out, would be to get up and really work on JADE MOON WANING, so I’m going to do that this weekend as well.
