Welcome to another edition of the Friday Fess-Up!
We made it!
I’m not going to lie. This week has been a bit of a slog.
I don’t know what, if anything has changed. Maybe it’s the time of the year – still cold, often dark. I’ve got a lot of ice here which makes walking tricky and plays havok with my already lousy knees.
Yes, in addition to bad wrists, my knees aren’t the greatest. As Indiana Jones says, “It’s not the years. It’s the mileage.”
And the years.
So, as sometimes happens, this week hasn’t been the best. Still, I’m getting up and working. And that’s about all that I can expect out of myself.
This weekend may involve a bit more self-care than usual, but sometimes I need it, and sometimes I don’t need as much.
It’s a flow. It comes and goes, just like just about everything else in life. The only constant is change.
That and the need to tell stories.

What am I reading this week?
The Chronicles of the Lensmen vol. 2 by E.E. “Doc” Smith. I have this in an omnibus edition. The story that I’m currently reading in this volume is “Children of the Lens.”
“How to Save an Undead Life” by Hailey Edwards.
“Face the Music: A Life Exposed” by Paul Stanley. Google it.
Again, I can’t say that I’m the biggest KISS fan in the world. Having said that I can certainly get behind the underlying message that Paul has to say: Do the Fucking Work. Don’t do it for the critics, for the publishers, or even for the fans. Do the fucking work because it’s what you want to do. If you’re true to that, I believe, you can’t go wrong…
How have I been relaxing and refilling the well? The Six Nations Rugby Tournament is taking a bye week. Next week, the only match that matters is Wales v England.
I really want Wales to win.

Outside of a bit of Ruggers, I’m going to sleep. Morpheus is a predatory lender, and he always collects…sooner or later.
