What Are You Waiting for?

What are you waiting for?

Seriously.

What are *you* waiting for?

More importantly:

Why are you *Waiting*?

Go do it.

Do it today – right now.

You won’t ever be “Ready”. The “Perfect” time won’t ever come. The perfect time is right now.

Why?

Because right now is the only time you’ve got. You may think you’ve got tomorrow, but you don’t know that.

So go do it. Whatever it is, go do it now.

Go tell the people that matter that they do.

Go start that thing that you’ve always wanted to do. I don’t care that NaNoWriMo is only two days away, start the book today.

Do the thing, make the change, take that step.

Dare to act.*

You might not get another chance.

*Thanks, Laura.

News:

I updated my Bio. I hadn’t done one before I put up the original and I’m digging the new version. Let me know what you think.

What I’m working on:

The Price of Power: The story is good to go! I got to take a look at a mock up of the covers and THEY LOOK AMAZING!! I can’t share them yet, so stay tuned…

Brimstone: The window is still closing. The outside date that I’ll hear whether or not the story has been accepted has changed to Nov. 15th. If you’ve a mind, I’d take it as a kindness if you’d cross what you’ve got for me.

Partners: Has been submitted! I’m waiting to hear back from the editors.

Chasing the Kestrel: I’ve still got several open queries – including the agent who asked for more pages.

Beneath the Waves – A Wainwright and Holliday Adventure: It’s a working title. This one kinda fell apart in that, try as I might, Lydia and Keilah just don’t want to get on a submarine. They’re happy to explore the catacombs beneath Paris but, underwater? Nope. So it’s back to the drawing board for the Submerged Anthology.

Death…I don’t have a title, yet: I don’t even have a working title, yet for the story I’m submitting for the “Death of All Things” anthology open call. I’ve got until December 31st to get it done, which seems longer than it actually is, since I’ll be starting it on December 1st. Sooner if I can get the other story done ahead of schedule.

What’s Next:

2017: I’m formulating plans and schedules (more on that later) but I want to keep the momentum that I’ve generated this year going.

Total Word Count:

Recently, the idea to keep track of that first million words, and post it somewhere, came up and I thought it was a good idea, if only to provide me with a kick in the ass.

Thanks to the magic of Calculators and Coffee, here is the word count for the week:

5 days of story creation, world building, and writing out scenes and snippets. = 1900 Words

This brings my grand total to…

281,000 words!!

That leaves 719,000 words to go.

That’s doable.

Time: 12:48 pm – ish

Music: Kamelot – The March of Mephisto
