In the Grip of the Hands of TIme

I do one of these posts every week. Ok, maybe not *Every* week, as I seem to recall actually missing one, but that ties into this post perfectly.

Normally, I like to get these posts up early in the day. But today didn’t have that on the agenda. And, as it got later and later, there was a part of me that was all, like: “You missed your window. Why bother to post now?”

Well, there are two reasons:

The first is that I enjoy doing this. The second is that, it’s not about the time-slot, it’s about the post.

“Oh, I’ll do that when I’ve got the time.”

Sound familiar?

If you’re paying attention, you’ll see that the time is there. It’s always there. It may not be in huge chunks, it may only come to you in drips and drabs – life is like that sometimes (Case in point: Today’s late post). But it’s there.

Now, having said that, you also need to have the energy to commit to that time. Here’s where your mileage may (and probably will) vary. It might be that when you’ve got the time, you don’t have the spoons left. And that’s ok. Tomorrow is another day. Try again.

And I know that you’ve heard about how certain times of day are “Peak” times for you and, if you can work your schedule that way, then good on ya.

But remember: It’s not about the time you get the work done. The output from 4-5 “off-Peak” days is better than no output at all.

Thanks for reading.

Be safe out there. Be Excellent to Each other – and yourself.

I’ll see you on Thursday.
