Planning for Everything

So I sat down this morning to try and plan out the week. On one hand, I managed it, but when I sat back to look upon what my pen hath wrought, I’d discovered that with everything I’ve got going on, I’d accounted for every minute, of every day for the entire week.

Most of it was the same stuff over and over.

It was kind of depressing.

And it was disturbing, in that, after a second read through, I’d discovered that I hadn’t scheduled any down time. It was just me moving from one task (Ok sleeping isn’t just a task, but you know what I mean).

To hell with that.

Now don’t get me wrong, I like lists, probably more than the next guy, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. With my scheduling/list-making, I’d forgotten to make room for the good stuff, for the serendipity of just switching off, and going with what you find there.

So take a little bit of time this week to do something unscripted. You’ll be glad you did.

Thanks for reading. Be safe out there. Be Excellent to Each other – and yourself.

I’ll see you on Thursday.
