If you’ve bene following this blog (Thanks!) for, really, any length of time, you’ll know that I love me a good list. I love making lists. Lists of things to do, lists of bands, lists of books, lists, lists, lists.

Part of the reason for that is due to the fact that I need things like a daily to-do list because things’ll drop out of my memory. But another reason – and this is one that I only recently came to realize – is that it’s my attempt to exert some kind of control over life.

If it’s important, it goes on the list. Even if way deep down I know I’ll never get it done that day, it’s still there because it’s important. If it’s not on the list, it’s either not important, or it’s something new and needs to be added to the list.

Naturally, there are things that are so ingrained, that they don’t get added to any list. Family isn’t something that I need to put on the list, they ‘re there already. I also don’t put writing the list down on the list. It’s just there. I do, put “Me Time” on the list, because I need the reminder pretty regularly.

Speaking of which, Scotland is taking on South Africa here on the opening weekend for the 2023 Rugby World Cup and I’m snagging 80 minutes of Me Time.

Go Scotland!

Thanks for reading. Be safe out there. Be Excellent to Each other – and yourself.

I’ll see you on Thursday.
