Welcome to the First Five-Thing Thursday for 2024!
Here are Five Things that I’m looking forward to in 2024:
Thing #1: I’ve got two, possibly three conventions on the calendar for this year. It’ll be good to get back in touch with my friends and the community at large. Speaking of which, I’ll be at ConFusion January 18th -21st. If you’re in the area, stop by. It’s a good time!
Thing #2: I’ve set myself a challenge to finish 102 books this year, and I’m looking forward to discovering potential new favorites
Thing #3: I’m expanding my creative toolset to include audio production, including some voice acting, which I’m looking forward to exploring.
Thing #4: Since this is typically the “Mental Jukebox” item, I’m looking forward to all of the unheard music I’m going to hear this year.
Thing #5: I’m looking forward to the unknown in 2024. Sure, I’ve got a plan for the coming year (sort of) but that won’t cover everything that could possibly happen. Not even close. Some of it will be less than awesome – that’s life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way – but some of it will be awesome, and something that I’d hadn’t thought of before and there a bit of excitement in that.

What am I looking forward to this week?
I’m looking forward to stopping, and looking back on this first week to see how things went. Not that I’m burning the candle at both ends to get loads of new stuff done – which is really easy to do at this time of year – but to evaluate and adjust. I’m also looking forward to spending time with family before the day-to-day grind that can shove itself to center stage in the earlier parts of the year can get on its feet
