Welcome to another installment of Five-Thing Thursday!
Here are Five Things that I want you to know:
Thing #1: By the time this goes live, I’m looking at snow, switching to rain, then freezing. While I can appreciate all three for their own aesthetic beauty. I can’t say I’m a fan of all three in 24 hours. I need some time to process.
Thing #2: Scotland got robbed of a win over France last Saturday. That was a try, and I will die on that hill.
Thing #3: I think I’m in need of an additional music podcast.
Thing #4: What is playing on the Mental Jukebox this week: Through Blood and Dirt and Bone by Trivium (Live)
Thing #5: A reminder for myself, and for anyone else who needs it: Be more rigid in your goals, but be more fluid in how you get there.
###
What have I been reading in 2024?
Build the Life You Want by Arthur Brooks and Oprah Winfrey
A Bad Deal for the Whole Galaxy by Alex White
Wonderbook by Jeff Vandemere
The Courage to be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga
What am I looking forward to this week?
First, the United Rugby Championship is back (Six Nations is on a bye week), so it’ll be good to see club level rugby again.
Next: The 2024 Super Rugby season starts next week and I’m really looking forward to that.
Third: I’ve got some recipes to try out on the grill this weekend. Cross your fingers!
