Welcome to another installment of Five-Thing Thursday!
Here are Five Things that I want you to know:
Thing #1: The bad news is that you (or I, for that matter) will never make the perfect omelet. The good news is that a near-perfect omelet is still pretty damned good. This is why they call perfect the enemy of good. Think of all the omelets you’re missing out on because you wont knock it out of the park on your first attempt, so you never even try.
Thing #2: Repetition makes a habit, not time.
Thing #3: Ticks are incapable of jumping. They can, as a recent study suggests, use static electricity to cover short distances to reach a target – which is just as bad…
Thing #4: What is playing on the Mental Jukebox this week: Biomechanicals by Metalite
Thing #5: The amount of time you take to complete a job will expand to meet the amount of time you set aside to complete said job.

What have I been reading in 2025?
The Five Second Rule by Mel Robbins
The Big Bad 2 Edited by John Hartness and Emily Lavin-Leverett
The Creative Ambush by Matteo Di Pascale
Voice Over, Voice Actor by Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt
What was new to me this week?
I had some cable buried at the house. The machine they used, kind of operated like an enormous sewing machine on 4 belt-tracks.
