Easing into it

Life has been pretty heavy this past week and some change. So much so, that I’d had to pull back into complete self-care mode. I’d missed a couple of post here – which is pretty rare, and I hadn’t been doing much in the way of writing.

This made the part of me that demands that I be a machine and get stuff done no matter what, feel guilty about that, but we had a long talk and came to an understanding:

Without balance, none of us functions well, and all you can do is all you can do. Sometimes that means that all you can do is get by and see what the next day brings.

And that’s the way it went for a time, but I’m coming out of that place. I’ve been writing again and that feels good. I’ve gotten Thursday’s post up on time and, despite this post going up later than usual, it’s here. I’m not back to where I was, but I’m feeling the difference. I might even get out there for a walk today.

I’m calling that a win.

Here’s to an even better tomorrow.

Thanks for reading. Be safe out there. Be Excellent to Each other – and yourself.

I’ll see you on Thursday.
