Today is Yours

What do you want to do today?

If I’d really been on my planning game, I’d have had this post done ahead of time and scheduled to go live at Midnight, so you’d have the entire 24 hours. Instead, here we are, nearly half-way through the day.

But that’s ok. I’ve not been idle – though Idleness is certainly an acceptable response. Self care is important, and doing it is still doing something. The point I want to make here is that Today is Yours. You’ve got the entirety of the day today. What are you going to do with it?

Now if you’re like me, the first place you go when faced with this question is the seemingly (Actually) never-ending list of things that you “Have” to do. And it’s only after you’ve made some kind of progress on that list that you can turn your hands toward what you want to do – assuming that you’ve got the energy to do so.

I’m a little out of balance, though I’m trying to correct that. There’s some things, like sleep for instance that you really shouldn’t go half-assed with. Other things, well I’m learning (Again) that I don’t necessarily need to eat the elephant all in one bite.

Sidebar: No elephants were eaten during the outlining, drafting, or even editing of this post.

Life is all about balance. That’s about as close as I can get you because that balance point is going to be different for each and every one of you.

But it’s out there, and the effort to track it down will be worth it.

Thanks for reading. Be safe out there. Be Excellent to Each other – and yourself.

I’ll see you on Thursday.
