Five-Thing Thursday: June 29th

Welcome to another Installment of Five-Thing Thursday!

Here are Five Things that I want you to know:

Thing #1: I am still trying to process how awesome a guitarist Nita Strauss is. If you haven’t heard her play, see Thing # 4. You’re welcome – and Pre Order Call of the Void. It comes out 7\7. I’ve already got my copy coming, and I’m jamming to what’s available already. PUT IT IN YOUR EARS, PEOPLE!

Thing #2: It’s never too late to make a list of things you want to do, and what you need to do to make progress in that direction. Don’t stifle yourself. Lay out every crazy dream you’ve ever had. All of it. Then, figure out how to get it.

Thing #3: I won’t tell you how many times I’ve revised this post. I’d been processing a lot of stuff lately and these 3 Things (Thing 1 is virtually unchanged – Nita Strauss is an epic guitar player – and I’ve got Thing 4 on a loop for a while) came out pretty raw initially. Some I’ve edited, some I removed entirely. Go easy on yourself, and reach out when you need to.

Thing #4: What’s playing on the Mental Jukebox today: Winner Takes All by Nita Strauss (Featuring Alice Cooper)

Thing #5: This month has been… a month, and I’ll be happy to see it go.

What am  I reading this week?

Furious Heaven by Kate Elliott

Minimum Wage Magic by Rachel Aaron

Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs

How have I been relaxing and refilling the well?

I’ve been focusing on sleep though, to be honest, I’ve fallen off the rails halfway through this week. Part of it is a set of pulled muscles in my shoulders which get in the way of me getting back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night.

If you’ve read, and enjoyed any of my books, please consider leaving a review:

Weird Wild West

Trials

Predators in Petticoats

Grease Monkeys

See you on Sunday!

Until then…

Be safe. Be Excellent to each other.
