Five-Thing Thursday: January 11th.

Welcome to another installment of Five-Thing Thursday!

Here are Five Things that I want you to know:

Thing #1:  Every day is a new opportunity to plan something new. If you haven’t finished, or started, your 2024 plans, you can start right now.

Thing #2: If procrastination was a superpower, I’d get so much done…later.

Thing #3: I miss being able to use the built in keyboard on my laptop, but I can also appreciate the flexibility in positioning that the wireless one gives me.

Thing #4: What is playing on the Mental Jukebox this week: A Fight I Must Win by Arch Enemy

Thing #5: Crimson Whisper is in the running for Best Horror Novel of 2023 in the Critters Writer’s Workshop Reader’s poll. Also, Grease Monkeys is in the running for best anthology – You can find the voting page for that, here! Voting is open until January 14th, please go give them a vote. Thanks!

What have I been reading in 2024?

Furious Heaven by Kate Elliott

A Big Ship at the End of the Universe by Alex White

Wonderbook by Jeff Vandemere

Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity by Bill Gifford and Peter Attia

What am I looking forward to this week?

So it’s chili season – no, not chilly season, though there is that going on to be sure – I’m talking chili. We’re starting it up now, and we’ll let it go low and slow in the slow cooker for tomorrow. Then it’ll only get better from there.
