It’s Been a Month

This will be the final Sunday Blog Post for the month. There’s still a Five-Thing Thursday coming before the calendar clicks over. And, as you might have gleaned from the title, June has been…a bit more intense than most of the other months this year.

I won’t get into details, but let’s just say that I’m looking forward to July – and not only because it’s my Birthday Month. This year, I’m planning to make July a month of “Rest.” I’m using quotes there, because some of the things I find restful, aren’t very physically restful at all. But they do so fill all three wells: Physical, Mental, and even Spiritual.

Even as I’m typing this, I’m starting to ask myself why am I only dedicating one month out of 12 to living a more relaxed lifestyle – and that may warrant some further examination.

But for today, I’ve got a little twinge in the Achilles, a quarter-sized divot in my wrist, and staple scars in my head.

Time for a rest.

And it’s just about time to start prepping the ribs for a low-n-slow session, as part of a bit of self care.

Wherever you are, and whenever you are, I hope you found some time to rest, reset, and refill. You can’t train every day.

Thanks for reading. Be safe out there. Be Excellent to Each other – and yourself.

I’ll see you on Thursday.
