Five-Thing Thursday: December 5th.

Welcome to another installment of Five-Thing Thursday!

Here are Five Things that I want you to know:

Thing #1: The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time to plant a tree is right now…unless it’s cold where you live, and the ground is frozen. Maybe wait till spring, or start one in the house.

Thing #2: Arena concerts are great – additionally, there’s nothing like a small-venue concert where you can be Right there.

Thing #3: Forget the date. Winter has arrived in my neck of the woods. I can tell because my hands are drying out like sun-baked desert…cracks and all.

Thing #4: What is playing on the Mental Jukebox this week: Chasing Euphoria by Lutharo

Thing #5: Despite the cold, I am still making time to get outside in the mornings and evenings to just be outside on the porch for a bit. The extra work (and layers) has been worth it.

What have I been reading in 2024?

Planetside by Michael Mammay

The Fire Opal by Catherine Asaro

What am I looking forward to this week?

Overall, I’m looking forward to the slower pace of the world (ok, that’s a generalization, I know there’s going to be frenetic moments towards the end of the year) as the year comes to a close.
