I confess to feeling a little bit burned out lately and when this reminder came out of the blue, it really struck home, so I decided to share it here.
Each day is an empty page. Just for you.
How does that with burnout, you might ask? The realization that you don’t have to keep doing the same thing over and over is huge. The past doesn’t dictate the future. Not even from one day to the next.
That’s the beauty of it. The beginning of every day – whenever that may happen to be for you – is an invitation to go anywhere.
That includes not going anywhere, if that’s what you need. Self care is important – as is the necessity of rest. You don’t need to be doing all the things all the time.
Take today – and every day this week to stop and ask yourself: Where do I want to go from here? Right this moment. What will this empty page look like at the end of the day?
It can be anything.
Thanks for reading. Be safe out there. Be Excellent to Each other – and yourself.
I’ll see you on Thursday.
